A Stunning Southern Belle

Finding the perfect dress is one of the first things people think of when planning a wedding. Trying on all the different styles and imagining yourself walking down the aisle into the arms of your soon-to-be husband is a fairy tale moment for brides. Capturing the first time a soon-to-be bride sees herself as she will look on her wedding day is a truly magical experience. Sessions such as southern bridals in Houston, TX are easily some of my favorites.

The best thing about these sessions is that they provide a trial run for brides and their vendors. They give a chance to get dressed up, try out hair and makeup, and have a little fun without being on a strict wedding day timeline. And I mean, come on…who wouldn’t want just one more opportunity to wear their gorgeous wedding gown?!

Katelyn’s Southern Charm

Katelyn is the epitome of a southern bride. She’s all things pretty and classic, and in true southern fashion she’s getting married on a farm. Her venue, Beckendorff Farms, made the perfect backdrop for her session. Katelyn was a stunning contrast paired with the textural brickwork and expansive Texas countryside. Her beaded gown adorned with off-the-shoulder cap-sleeves was so unique, and perfectly suited her. She makes a truly gorgeous bride!

Sessions like this remind me of why I love bridals. I lived on the east coast for a couple years, and people seemed to have no idea what a bridal session was or when it happened. It’s nice to get back to all the southern traditions, including the fun and light-hearted bridal sessions that have always been one of my favorite session styles!
